With the release of NX 2406, there are some great new features and additions to commands in NX CAD. In this video series we will look at some of the notable updates and explore the tips and tricks on how best to use them.
Sketch navigator
The tool allows users to investigate their sketch, set up robust sketch features, and display information about sketch objects, relations, and external references. See how to use the different tabs within the sketch navigator, including the curves tab, relations tab, and found relations folder.
Manual Sketch Method
When creating a new sketch, NX 2406 now allows for the option to create a brand-new sketch plane right from the Create Sketch dialog. Learn how to turn this option on and how this will improve the NX Sketch workflow.
SKetched bridge transitions
New in NX 2406 for the Bridge Transition tool is the Sketched Transition option when bridging the gap between flexible board designs. No longer do we have to choose between just a Z, U or Fold transition; we now have the power to create any transition simply by sketching it in where it’s needed! Learn how to use this upgraded tool in the Flexible Printed Circuit Design application for NX 2406.
synchronous assemblies
Quickly design in the context of your assembly. With Synchronous Assemblies in NX 2406, keeping up with the quick pace of design has never been easier. Learn how to use Modeling Components at the assembly level to make changes to your parts without editing the features of the component!
copy and paste constraints
NX2406 now lets you easily copy and paste constraints, along with your components. Here is a quick look at the new and improved functionality. Once copied you can adjust those constraints to match a new position. For example, you can copy and paste a wheel from one side of a vehicle to another, and then change the alignment constraint to reverse the direction. This can save a lot of time.
NX is constantly innovating, and, with each new release, adding new commands while updating tools we use everyday.
