In this video series, we feature what's new in Siemens NX2506 - the June 2025 release.  This includes a number of beneficial updates like Sketching with lines and arcs, Fold Transition Enhancement, Open Suppressed Components in their Own Windows, Sheet Bodies in Boolean Operations, and set of Points on Curve.  Let's break down what they all mean.

Sketching with Lines and Arcs

New improvements to the Sketcher in NX 2506 now allow for even faster profile sketching.  Siemens have done away with the separate Profile tool.  That functionality has been directly added to the Line and Arc commands, making it even easier to sketch out our designs quickly!

FOLD TRANSITION ENHANCEMENT

When creating a Flex design in NX 2506, we can now connect two boards with a transition that spans the width of both edges.  Before this enhancement to the Fold option in Bridge Transition, we had to choose one edge length or the other.  Now we can blend between the two to create seamless connections in our Flexible Printed Circuit Board designs!

OPEN SUPPRESSED Components in their own windows

An exciting new capability in NX 2506 Assemblies allows us to open suppressed components in their own windows. This makes it easy to fix or edit components in assemblies that are already open, without having the component changes affect what’s going on in the assembly until we want to!

Sheet Bodies in Boolean Operations

There’s a new enhancement to the Boolean commands in NX 2506. We can now include sheet bodies with the Subtract and Intersect operations! This selection capability allows for much more flexibility in our intersecting designs.

Set of points on curve

A brand-new option for creating points was added in NX 2506 to the Point Set command. This pull-down option, Set of Points on Curve, allows for the creation of different sets of points to be added along a curve at one time in a single dialog. With this capability, you can quickly and easily create many groups of points at the same time.

In the changing landscape of engineering design, the June 2025 release of NX CAD software, specifically NX 2506, has introduced several new features to help in your design workflow.  We hope this review is helpful.
