Machining Quote
A dedicated resource for your prototyping needs
You will have a Sherpa, a dedicated machinist, who will focus on getting your prototypes to work, providing feedback on your CAD, supporting you with DFM insights, and hitting your tolerance requirements. They will support you through all the stages of development, testing and validation, to handoff to manufacturers.

Design for Manufacturing
We use NX CAM to program and simulate our tool paths. We use CMM Manager to perform CMM and First Article Inspection (FAI), reverse engineering and can help with your design to resolve any issues to get it ready for prototyping (DFM).
ITAR Certification.
Sherpa is ITAR certified. If you require that certification, let us know and we can provide a secure method to share project files for machining.

To reduce the manufacturing costs of this low-volume Rohde & Schwarz product, we engineered the case to accommodate different configurations of amplifier systems. Sherpa utilized the fourth axis to reduce setups and save on manufacturing costs for bicycle parts maker Gevenalle.

Our workhorse for CNC Precision Machining is the DMU 50 from DMG Mori. It’s our first choice for its five-axis machining capabilities that enable us to create complex shapes in a single setup.
